Penny! (knock, knock, knock), Penny! (knock, knock, knock), Penny! (knock, knock, knock)

Before I started taking orders for this new brainchild of mine, I thought I'd start cranikin' up some samples so people could get an idea about what my style looks like.
The question was then to think about someone I've seen wearing a cute-looking costume and the first image that popped out of my memory archives was, of course, PENNY (Kaley Cuoco), from the Big Bang Theory. I started looking at pictures and video clips from the show to get more familiar with her features and gestures and bam! there it was.
As usual, it took me a lot more time to work on her hair than anything else. Fortunately enough, I think I did an ok job with her.

Noelle's X-23

I can't start this post without thanking my first customer X-23- I mean, Noelle, for getting on board with this new enterprise. 

Noelle is a true Cosplayer and in the past, she has been from Rinoa (Final Fantasy) and Black Rock Shooter to Punisher and of course, X-23 among others. It was really fun getting to know her taste in movies, comics and all-things-geek.

Getting started :)

Welcome to my new blog.
I decided to create Cosplay Toons as a personal tribute to Comic Books, Animation and Movies. I have been doing digital caricatures for a long time and since I'm a Fanboy at heart, I thought it would be cool for Cosplayers and fellow Geeks to have a portrait of their very own Alter Ego.
I am starting my first project as of today and I will post it as soon as it's ready. In the meantime, here's a quick sketch of a Retro Batgirl and my favorite character of the Big Bang Theory: Sheldon Cooper. Enjoy!
